Lead glass

Lead glass is a variety of glass in which lead replaces the calcium content in typical potash salt glass. Lead glass typically contains 18 to 40% (by weight) lead oxide (IIb), whereas modern lead glass (also historically known as fl stone glass due to the original silica source) contains at least 24% PbO. Lead glass is often required for multiple uses due to its transparency.
